The QA Tester looking to launch their web applications testing career has an excellent opportunity to do so with Gilt Groupe, a start-up company on the cutting edge of online retail. Working from our offices in the Chelsea District of New York City you'll join a tight knit and highly motivated development and QA group and take step one in your career. We'll look to you for advanced skills on the Windows and Macintosh platforms and provide you key experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.

Launched in November 2007, Gilt Groupe is a new and exciting online fashion business, revolutionizing the way consumers across America shop. Headquartered in New York, Gilt Groupe is a members-only sample sale website, providing an exclusive sneak-peek into the latest collections of high-end fashion at highly discounted prices. With a limited time window of 24-48 hours to shop each designer sale, members have exclusive access to a fresh and exciting roster of desirable merchandise every week! Gilt Groupe is built upon proven, successful track records and is a fully funded company. Members of the founding team bring experience from eBay, DoubleClick, Saks Fifth Avenue and many more. We are growing rapidly and offer very competitive pay with equity. You'll enjoy perks such as world class teammates, drinks and snacks and full benefits.

As our QA Tester you'll use your computer science background to create and follow test scripts and test case. Our code base includes Ruby on Rails and JavaScript so any experience with languages and frameworks will be ideal. We're looking for an individual who's passionate at finding bugs and can write detailed, comprehensive bug reports in Bugzilla. You'll thrive here with the kind of mindset that enables you to identify, analyze and document defects. Our members reach our website from Windows platforms via IE and Firefox, Safari browsers on the Mac and Apple iPhones. We’ll look to you for advanced skills on Macintosh and Windows (XP and Vista), including the ability to change computer settings, do thorough UI navigation, change preferences, take screen shots, have mastery of the control panel, and do downloads and installs with ease. Any experience in Linux, especially Suse or RedHat will put you ahead of the pack.
