SIGIST in London next Thursday...

Ok, I can't possibly be the only person on the STC going to this, can I?

Maybe I am. Would be nice to meet up with folks if there is anyone else going though!

James, glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. I found it very interesting discussing silos, automated and exploratory testing. I'm taking the ET discussion further with Glenn by email but might break it out into a blog later on as I got a bit carried away in the email...

Anna, feel free to recommend any scottish tester to join the Scotland Testing group, I'll then send a reminder to the whole group for the next meeting. It'll probably be on every second Wednesday of a month.

Once a group is established we can then think about theme-ing meetings if people would like that. I'm open for suggestions.

Hi Anna - are you talking to me? If so, yes it was good. There were only the three of us; myself, Thomas Ponnet & Glenn Halstead. I had to leave after an hour and a half. The time flew by and it was very enjoyable. It was well worth doing, and it's something that needs to happen regularly. We just need to get more people along next time.

So... was it good? How did it go? Will you be doing it again?

I mentioned your meetup to a tester at SIGIST today who'd come down from Aberdeen and was commenting on how all the meetings people were talking about at the networking session seemed to be in London.

@Anna. As James has mentioned it'll be the Volunteer on Baker St. I didn't go to the last SIGST and just went along to the pub. It's worth doing and you'll more then likely recognise people you've seen throughout the day. Unfortunately I won't be at either this time round.

And if you happen to be in Edinburgh on Wedneday, feel free to join us.

Anna - I think the Volunteer is where people usually go. That's where I went with various people at the end of the December event. As you walk back into Baker Street from the College where the SIGIST event is held, the Volunteer is on the right, at the end of Baker Street.

See - "networking session in the pub" - I'd love to go to this, and even have a bit of time before I need to get on the tube for the train home, but a) I don't know which pub, and b) I don't like walking into pubs in strange cities on my own and approaching random strangers.
