I can't comment from the experience point of view as we are only starting agile, but we have a similar type of product and release cycles. Our initial decision in consultation with our product owner is that we are unlikely to release more often ju...
1. Being at the bottom of the food chain when using waterfall (yah Agile)
2. Untestable requirements
3. The cure-all panacea that is Automation - some things are best left manual, really

We have coined our own term, which always trips up anyone new - we call a bug an "SPR" this is an acronym for "Software Performance Report", no idea where it originated but it goes back to the late 80's. We use anomaly and bug as well though.
Starting on our first agile project in a week or 2. Decided to go with SCRUM (although I only ever think of rugby when I hear that term). Looking forward to it :)
I never use the address drop down so it hasn't been a problem for me. Putting the delete option in that particular location was probably not the smartest move, if it had been at the front it would have been less likely to be clicked accidentally.
Winter was what started us off in the first place..it seemed like a fun thing to do when the weather was bad..but now we do them all year around. It has brought a lot of developers out of their offices who wouldn't normally take breaks and as a re...
I've been testing since about 89 for the same company but a huge range of different types of products over that time including petrol pumps, eftpos, security and access control and agricultural.
I run a team of 10 testers and still do a bit of testing myself (just because I enjoy it so much).
I am ISTQB certified (for what that's worth!) and am appalled at the quality of some software out there. It seems once you are a tester you find faults all over the place - even when you aren't looking for them. Websites are a particular annoyance to me. If you are a web tester - pull your socks up!
Apart from testing I love animals (I'm vegetarian) and farming and my ideal job would be one that combined all three things together.
