We dont prepare testcases,testconditionslike we normally do in conventional testing.Neither regression team do that. They use MQC for that. What we only is to pass parameter in the parameter file and change the tranctions say 1 lac, 3 lac which ever is needed to run.
We can do hit and traial with these builds. In the day time we do testing and in night( Cleint's morning) they see what is done on the build.We already have files that rae needed to run the build , we do little modification everytime. .....:-)

No, actually we aren't using any tool as of now. As i told u earlier, we get milestones for every 2 months 4rm the client and on those days we are expected to have builds from the Developers. The moment we get confirmation from the
S/W Configuration Management Team , the the build is sucessfully deployed, both the team perf. & regression team sstarts testing build. These builds are nothing but code written in C in Vi editor ( Shell programming) . To test we first pull the build from the Dev. Server on the Test Esrver. and pass some parameters . and execute the tests. Each build have to go througgh 5 tests to check the stability of the load. Each test takes 4.30 hrs to complete of it of 1 lac transaction. If thats of 3 lac transaction then it takes 12.30 hrs.
After all the runs get complete, we do Analysis of each testand send it to client. Henceforth, he passe the load for the production, if evthg is alright. As you asked, if we fing some deviations in the load(build), lets say, new exceptions have been arrived or tranactions are doing server aborts. We immediatedly report it to Client keeping Development tema, regression team, SCM team in CC . Clinetb then take the actions and developers do the corrective action. NExt day we get the newer version of the same build..

We made parameters every quater .That we use as a basis for measuring performance of a build. I am the only one who is handling this performance team offshore. I have a direct interaction with the client. Daily basis i send him work status and weekly status report on every thursday. Ok this is a long story .. Tell me abt urself....

We have two teams here . one does regression testing of the same buils and we do perf. testing. And either of us get any issues. They are reported directly to client. They take the action. The next day we get the next versioon of the same build & if passed suceesfully. Client pass that to the production.
