There are different Robot Framework libraries for testing different GUIs. For Windows GUIs use AutoItLibrary [1], For Java Swing GUIs use SwingLibrary [2]. For Web browser GUIs use SeleniumLibrary [3]. These are all Open Source extension libraries for the Robot Framework and you can use all the Robot Framework test authoring and keyword building features with each.

Robot Framework tables are same as of QTP...Right now i m using Selenium RC with java. I have seen the example given by you. Its basically to write a code in tabular format rather than making .java coding files. My main question is how to test UI of a project through this?

No. You don't have to code. Most of the tests are just tables like described in this example. There is IDE which simplifies the creation of test files. Robot does not have any test recorder so if you're looking that kind of tools, you have to find something else.

You should put some time to investigate if that tool fits for your needs. You also should have some kind of undestanding from software development to do automation. Otherwise there's high risk that you just waste lot of time and gain nothing.

Tarnum,

See the Robot Framework and AutoIt library for it.

I haven't use AutoIt, but I'm using Robot a lot with Selenium and SSH libraries.

Robot is keyword driven test framework which is done with Python.

Hey there.

I'm looking for some mentoring in implementin dbFit and Fitnesse for integration testing. I'm setting up dbfit to prototype data validation testing, and I'm getting a missing assembly error:

Anyone here have experience with dbFit who might be available to help me troubleshoot?

Hi friends,

I have very much interested to implement open STA in my company. I have analysed many document related to open sta in opensta.org, but still i am not able to understand Graph reports. Graph Reports which shows so many graphs, so which one i consider to take the exact result.

For example, I have increase the virtual user simoultaneously the Elapsed time also increases according to number of virtual users. So how to i define the correct Elapsed time depends upon the user?

Can you pls send me the documentation which clearly explain the graph reports
