UAT TEST

I and a couple of team members are in process of starting UAT for some inhouse SIEBEL based software and was wondering if some one could spin some light on how to go about this. How do we start. What level of details should our scripts have? Who should be involved (interms of Users). Where should this be carried out (On or offsite). What other questions am we missing.
